screwed the bottom net into the door(into plastic) and the top is via the
velcro stuff around the top door frame.

I use velcro straps and cable ties. Does the job just fine.

curently have the bottom zip tied on, the top has a home made quick release rod that isnt very quick to release (was done because our scrute is a c0ckjaw who rekons its the only way it can be done) will soon have velcro straps instead

you might want to check out here http://www.nissanpatrolclub.org/trials/ ... rds-08.pdf .

things have changed this year, the standards say that the net must be easy and quick to remove. there are plenty of quick releases on the market. most are easy to replicate, and they work on a bar along the top that slots into angle steel/alloy, that can slide across and be pulled out easily as it's spring loaded, or have a split pin stopping it sliding. the other design uses a seatbelt like clip.

Cable tie the top to the frame, hockey strap the bottom to the door pad
