I went the roo lites, purely because i won a brand new set on ebay for about $160-odd for 220's :) dunno what they're like, havent fitted them yet. For the amount of time you really spend on high beam, i cant justify the extra. I'm sure most people will disagree, but you get that :)

From my observations the lightforce are a better quality light. (esp reflector quality)

Actual output though - i've heard the roo lights are just as good.

As in they are brighter, longer beam, wider beam great amount of lumens?
And which roo lites and which Lightforces.
Do the light forces have clear covers? or combo's?
What globes are in the roo lites?

Would like to know to help with feed back. Thanks

longer and better beam. they are 180's and light forces are 240's

both running clear covers and with 35w hid kits (same brands)

The brothers mate has 4 of the roo lights and one of my Lightforce out shines it easily, more distance and clearer light, he sold them and bought Lightforce now.

True, me inclusive... Until i read ur comment. I was looking at cheaper, smaller options. Saw ur comment and thought, bugger it, get some decent ones to start with! Have Blitz 240's all rigged up ready to align tonight. Can't wait! Only spotties I've ever had before are the little poxy Supercheap ones for $79... Did i mention how keen I am to see 'em going?? They are massive lights alright.

Well i just got some of the small 145mm roo lites of ebay. The havent arrived yet but hopefully i can let you know how they go in a little while.

The plan is to put these 2 145s on the front for awhile the buy another set and mount them on the roof, hence the reason for small ones so i will have 4 on the roof and then buy bigger ones for the front

Then i need to find some small lights for under the car for night crawling :finger:

Lighforce all day champ, quality, durability and a trusted name. My mate hoody gets drunk at parties and shows everyone how tough his lightforce 240's are he runs and kicks them full boot and they just bounce back, i have seen him do it probably 30 times, thats as good as 30 roos and they are still fine
oh and they are about 6 yrs old too!!!

Personally I prefer the light output of the Hella Rallye 4000's compared to the Lightforce 240's. The case design of the Hella is also far superior to that of the LF range EXCEPT for the XGT and higher which don't use that dicky screw-type focus adjust thing.

Its for that reason I will not buy any Roolite or LF lights in the future. Had a set of 170's on my patrol and nice lights yeh but that screw lense design is stupid IMHO.

Alot will disagree. :)

yeh i hav had a set of rally e 4000 till they got nicked, they were great, definately better output than lightforce, but in saying that, my lightforces hav been hit by a few stray roos and a bird and they are fine, yet a friend of mine broke the glass insert out of the housing and also bent the steel housing on his 4000's after hitting 1 roo, so they are great to put on your roll bar, dont mount them where they can be hit by animals.... too expensive

Mate bought roo lights.
First time it rained they filled up with water and reflector began breaking down.
They did replace them no questions asked.

Yes the old lightforce 240's have a breathing system on the back and if its not correctly installed or ends up leaking the reflector lens will go all dusty black colour and when you complain to them they just tell you the breathing system was not installed correctly and sorry.
