what are ground hawgs like?

hi, im looking at running 37/ 38 in radial claws but just saw these Groundhawgs they come in the same sizes im after, ive ran the claws before in 33's and 35s and for what i usally do they hold up good, mostly rock and road. does any one know much about the groundhawgs and where i can get them from in the sydney newcastle region..

You may aswell go and buy some Thornbirds if you want that style of tyre.

Or maybe some mt117's, seriously though stick with either the claws, or just get some swamper sx's

I would buy them way before i wasted real money on claws!!!

they are tough!!! and the tread is there to be cut! they are a good tire IMO.

This is coming from someone that has ACTUALLY tried them (in humphrys old cruiser!!).

From what i've seen they can be a good tyre, have had 2 mates run them both 40" and didnt ever see them not go somewhere we did on swampers.

Both used them on road too and they drove well, and the 37" is way smaller than the 40 so should drive way better again.

As Dave mentioned they have plenty of room for some good cutting and i do think they work much better once this has been done, as without it i dont think they bite as well as a tsl.

I'm with Dave on running them before claws any day, but thats just me as i dont have a real high opinion of claws..

man i had a set on me 40 series comp road rig for a few years they worked great ,best traction in the wet on the rocks and on road , every one one said they were a shit tire and won't work , proved them wrong with a 3rd place at one off the comps we did . worked better after sniping them in the rite place;'s if i could fined another set i'd buy them :armsup:

did you run the bias or radial versions, they look pretty fat!
