2.8L GQ turbo replacement/upgrades

Hey all im new on the forums and have just bought a 96 GQ 2.8l RX wagon with 190,000 ks and am quite happy with it.
Although im going to upgrade a few things to get some more go out of it, will be getting a 3inch mandrel exhaust from the turbo back in a few weeks and also a snorkel kit.
Then id like to do some work to or replace the standard turbo with something very slightly bigger or a high flow job to help in the sand, but im not sure about what turbo would suit the upgrade best?? any help would be awesomely radical thanks fellas
