does the tb42 intake manifold fit onto the td42 diesel? lm thinking of making a custom intake manifold for the td42 but was just wondering if anything else would bolt up.
has onyone made their own or modified the original one? any pics would be apreciated

I was looking at doing the same thing Daniel but the answer is no they are completely different.We are currently in the process of building a water to air intercooler into a TD42 manifold but there's still a bit of work to be done till I'm happy.

Was thinking of similar things until the blokes that did my head porting said the intake manifold was good enough, work on the ex manifold instead you get better gains for money spent.

One decent mod recomended to intake manifold is the removal of EGR (exhaust return) port by welding up the hole under the intake elbow after die grinding the seperating wall away. this in effect enlarges your intake manifold main entry by 20-30%. then laser cut a new intake elbow plate and tig weld a 2 1\2 or 3 inch elbow to that and it'll take all you can throw at it!
if your looking at intake mods no doubt youve probably taken off all the emmision crap already
