Hi All
I have the chance to buy a 2000 WJ Cherokee Grand Limited. However I'm no expert on 4x4's can anyone tell me what are the major areas of concern. The car has 170K onto it (not much off road or any), new engine put in due to gas converison, auto, bullbar, tow bar and fiully optioned.
Thanks in advance

you broken heaps ?
d44 rear on v8s , 30 front
couple of things that tend to be common heater core failure , rear end whine , .
a pulsating brake pedal or steering woble under light braking = common warped front disks .
(ours sufferd all above
)
WJs are quicker then most, and arnt that bad on fuel due to an excess of power and only needing to feather the throttle to run at normal traffic speeds.
Things i love , Quadradrive probly the best standard setup ive driven
consists of a couple of vari a lock diffs ect .
delivers excellent traction,

What are these like off road as im thinking of getting one for the wife and to use on 4wd club trips. Do the 4.7 V8's work well on Lpg as that would be done almost imediately if i bought her one.

im selling mine now as im downsizing, but if you get one with a good service history and all the work down that needed doing you wont have a problem. things like brake rotors are a common issue but if they are changed early rather then later isnt too expensive. i have never been caught out in mine anywhere, goes good onroad and off road, my cd stacker broke but that is it. it now has 140k on the clock and im very impressed, also like the power of the 8 but it isnt too bad on fuel compared to other bigger v8's. offroad, its not a wrangler but it is very capable, beach driving i found super easy.
