Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Greetings Yawll, currently have a 95 GQ efi4.2 dual fuel Manual, and am looking at a 98 GU 4.5 TI Auto. I know the manaul boxes are bullet proof but dont know much about the autos. Myquestion is are the Autos as robust as the manuals?

running that auto box behind my GU 4.2 without issues.

They are plenty strong. Its advisable to replace the standard small trans cooler with a decent sized/quality cooler just to keep the trans temp cool.
