Hi everyone,

Have any of you coily owners had problems with the chain in the transfer case jumping teeth ?
I can't even do a normal hill start anymore without a horrid crunching sound coming from the T-case.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated before I pull the thing apart!

Thanks guys,

Cheers

Its a common problem with the chain drive case.
Replace it with a leafy gear driven case.
Its easy enough to do, you'll need the geared jackshaft too.

Would you believe I've had a 1 litre T-case lying around at home for at least five years?
It's one with the handbrake drum on the end of the rear shaft and it also has the 4WD switch. Does that mean it'll fit easily?
I dont need the drum so I've removed it but I suppose I'll have to have that shaft shortened, won't I ?

I believe the bolt flanges are different in a one litre case. Other than that it will bolt up, however you'll still need a leafy jackshaft.
Sell or swap your one litre case for a WT unit and shaft.
