koni's without a doubt. Thou i have dobinsons.. but dobinson only make 2 inch shocks and 4 inch shocks.. so my travels severely limited. Chuckin them soon for some koni's or dobinson 4 inchs and put some spring spacers in.

Tough Dog adjustables got them in the front of my shorty, havent done a lot of work yet but seem good.
As far as lengths go give cheezy or locky a call they both sell them, they will soon tell you what you can get

mine are correct for a 3" becasue when the shock tops out, the coil becomes a little loose which i have been told is the right setup. I am running a dobinson spring.
Also with the koni's they last ages, though they cost more, built you can also rebuild them too. And finally they are adjustable but not as easy as the rancho's.

Ok, why is everyone going away from the Rancho's now. I've got em on mine and i think they're great. plus aren't the toughdog shocks a single wall design which means a few dings that wouldn't bother the rancho's and they'd be stuffed???

With the rancho's arnt they having probs with them siezing, they loose the adjustabilty (stuck on stoftest setting). Also I was told by some one. That the rubbers for the eyes are to small for patrols (the bit they go onto is bigger than others - so they made the bush id larger but kept the eye the same size).
I dont know any of this info for sure, as I have not seen any of them first hand only the storys you hear.
Also the incab adjuster thing is not rebuildable (is this still correct bruce).

True, mine did loose adjustability too, but all you've gotta do is pull the adjusters off (as in unscrew the allen screws) spray in some wd40 and keep pushing and releasing the piston inside. keep spraying as necessary.
Once i did that i actually got 6 stages of adjustment instead of only 5.
