look for a post from "islandvit" i think it was... he did it and basically ruined it, ended up buying a new soft top body to replace it with.
Leave it as a high-top - its worth more complete - sell the hightop body and buy a soft top one.

Depends on what you want and how you do it. I am doing something very similar at the moment, hardtop cut down into an extra cab onto a LWB chassis with a tub tray.

There are no numbers stamped into the body so if you keep your chassis just swap the compliance and build plates over. Dunno how legal that is but who would ever pick it?

OK waandy, your nearly there.
You need to click the link under your photo in photobucket that says "IMG Code". This will COPY the link to your clipboard. All you need to do then is PASTE that IMG link into your post, and the photo will appear, (as if by magic)

I had the idea before we went to Tough Tracks but that gave me the push along. Always wanted something like this, but never had the chance so I just did it. It'll be slow but like most of my projects they always are. Time and dollars.
Been to both rounds and will be at The Springs to cheer the boys on and the rest of the teams as well.
Bit of an update on the build, I've had an internal cage custom made to fit the extra cab and it follows the body really close. Now the slow job of making the plates to join everything up and make sure everything that needs doing is done before I join the body together, internal painting, hoodlining will all need to be done as the cage can't come out once the body is joined.
