I don't think you're going to find "sunraysia" wheels as they haven't been produced since the 80's.

You probably need ROH Trak II rims - these have the correct offset for your vitara.

Pretty much any major tyre shop will source ROH rims without hassles.

Other options such as speedy and King that most sierra owners search for have more offset and are less suitable for a vitara.

Steve.

PS I'm pretty sure this info is in the bible.

Interesting story. i got the speedy's Desertrat Vit rims in 15x6 ordered in and they did not clear my brake calipers. Ended up going with the ROH 15x6 trak2 rims, bolted straight on. Don't know if the Speedy 15x7 or 8s would have cleared ok?

Just to make life interesting I'm now looking for 16x6 in 5x139.7PCD.

"I've searched" - it's code for "I want an answer NOW" :D

PCR - I'm guessing the 6's use a different well in the rim. Well depth and shape can have a huge bearing on both caliper clearance and centre shape.

A case in point - G wagens have 15" alloy rims (very flat well) and 16" steel rims, but clearing the calipers with 15" steel rims (with a normal well) is almost impossible.

The well is the area of minimum rim diameter and it's what the centre normally welds on to, although stock vitara steel rims weld the centre to the rim.

hey sorry for wasting your time, you guys finished whinging? i just dont get the negative offest thing. im new to 4x4 ive always rode bikes so please excuse the dumbness. ive looked at the bible and i dont get how you work out how much negative offset you need for 31" mtz radial claws. i think the tyre is 10.5" wide.they are going to be on 15x7 5x5.5. plus on the 15x7 whats the 7 for?(bible doesnt mention this) is that the width of the rim?. again sorry for wasting anyones time

cheers

plus where does it say where you can buy wheels from? i wear glasses cause my eyes are fu**ed

Forums are where we all help out, but sometimes answering the same vague question again and again when the infomation is already there is a bit annoying.

Offset - http://www.motegiracing.com/techzone/wh ... wheeltech4

From a 5 second google search
As for buying rims, try your local tyre/wheel joints, or if your feeling real adventurous you could even try searching on the net.

Horribly off topic here and sorry to the topic starter but, the bible is a bit of a pain to use, has outer's considered starting a wiki? I would suggest it is run via outers themself, so they pull advertising revenue still, otherwise contact me and ill sort it out on one of my servers. (not trying to compete against outers here)

Forums ARE designed for discussions, and do a horrible job in archiving and grouping information because of this. Alot of information gets lost, and is put down to a single person to maintain. (mods) Wiki's are a collaborative effort, and would be built upon over time.

Just a thought, and might save you saying "Have you searched the bible" you can say "have you searched the wiki"
