cheap lift stupid or smart

just wondering i have 2inch extended shackles and i was under my zook the otehr day and i had an idea on the back or the front leaf and the front of the back leaf where it is mounted to teh chassis could i make up an extended replica of the mount that is already there, so cut teh old mount off and weld in the new mount? probly highly illegal but has anyone done it and if so what were ur results? its jsut i have some plate sitting about and wouldnt mind givin ti ago cheaper than body blocks

Mate you already have 2" shackles..
Save up for a few weeks get a 2" body lift them you have 4" of lift!
Fit up some tires and have fun!
I don't like the idea of this drop hanger method stick to the proven (safe) options!

yeah body lift is only $200 not that much and is a lot safer. the extended shackles will only give about 1 inch lift though

Dont be a jew, do a full springover conversion with drop shackles
