Power Steering Questions

Hi there, as some of you might know i am trying to fit a Ford Power Steering pump to my D1 3.9l. Got it all mounted up then found a stupid oversight. The fluid outlet is on the back of the pump instead of the bottom and i only have about 25 to 30mm between the head and the back of the pump, anyway i can move the pump further away and down to create some access to the out let on the back of the pump but have 2 problems, the belt not long enough and the outlet hose will be real close to the exhaust manifold. Will ring around tomorrow to see what i can find out but in the mean time could anyone ease my pain by answering any of the questions below.
1. Can i get a slightly longer surpentine belt that will suit the rover?
2. can i get an elbow adaptor that will screw onto the pump and allow me to screw on the outlet line, the fitting would need to be specially suited as they seem to have a kind of pressure bypass built into them?
3. If a canot get the adaptor, can a mobile hose guy shorten the end of the outlet line and re-bend to suit the mod.
4. If running the line close to the exhaust manifold should i expect problems from the heat?
