Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Knocking noise up front when in high 4 or low 4. 89 GQ Diesel. Any ideas?
Only happens when going slow. Not happening every revolution of the wheels, maybe every 10 seconds or so...

What sort of noise??

have you checked anything yet?
happen with the hubs locked?
happen with the hubs unlocked?
Only when in 4wd?
happen only on flat ground? or only when the suspension is working??

Any more info?
