just killed the diff in my hilux and need to know if the ratios in a 88 with a 2l diesel are the same as a 93 with a 3l deisel?
If its G252 for the transaxle code its an open 4.5ratio which was pretty standard for the 2L's.zook4fun wrote:just killed the diff in my hilux and need to know if the ratios in a 88 with a 2l diesel are the same as a 93 with a 3l deisel?
I've got 4.5 diffs standard in my LN166R 2003 3L (2.8litre) Hiluxsloshy wrote:The 2L will be 4.5 ratio and the 3L will be 4.3 ratio if it is still standard.

400 bucks eh. Dont worry some wreckers over here are charging that or more too for hilux diffs too.
I've got a complete 4.8 diff, 10 bolt for sale (no axle housing etc). What are they asking over there for them?
I was referring to gen 2 and gen 3 hiluxs as to what the topic is about.spongerx wrote: I've got 4.5 diffs standard in my LN166R 2003 3L (2.8litre) Hilux
But then again my Lux was designed for a different market region
