Staun Beadlocks Blow When Used On Road???

I got a new tube put in one of my beadlocks today and the guy told me that the reason they blow is cos they cant take the hi temp created when used on road. Apparently they are not designed to be used on road at all.

Has anyone else been told this???

I thought these things were ment to be tuff???

Just wondering if its something to worry about.

What a crock of shit....
They are just a normal tube.
Unless you are running really low tyre pressure at highway speeds then there'd be no problem. If you were running low pressures you'd have a tyre delaminate or blowout before a problem with a (internal lock) tube.

well you would only be using them from home to the tracks, not as a daily driver, so I wouldnt see a prob... specially if its only a tube.

Yep - I'm up for the crock of shit too. My beadlocks are about 5 years old. Done only one tube in that time (in OBC) and I strip and refit and balance about every 18 months or when the tyres wear out.

I also use they and also vote for crock of shit! The only thing they need is normal tyre maintenance for a tubed tyre. ie ensure you keep the beads clean.
