i am starting to think a possible fuel problem?

if i hold my foot flat and wait for it to get up the revs it will then run better, but still slight miss

Hey is there any smoke out of the tailpipe White / black / blue when this miss is occuring ?
Could be - Leaking headgasket / cracked head - water burns away and she runs fine is it loosing any coolant ? is the engine oil milky ? there would be steam coming out of the tailpipe.(white )
the choke would cause black smoke
and blue would be oil contamination or leaking upper cylinder lube if fitted . good luck with this lot !!
