Can a EFI fuel tank from a newer model be fitted to a NH LWB Pajero with the 2.6 litre petrol engine?

If you have coil springs I would expect it to fit - if you have leaf springs, I don't like your chances.

If you have coils, check the top of your tank - there's a possiblity that the mounting spot for the in-tank fuel pump is already there, so you may only need the pump?

Im just curious, cos' im going to do the EFI conversion and thought if i can change the tanks i wouldnt have to mess around with a surge tank and external pump etc.

Cant use the 3.0 l EFI cos its a V6 and mine is a 4 cyl.
Thought about doing the whole swap in a 3.0 litre v6.

well im going to give it a go anyway. I just lifted my NH 2"s, so now there is lots of room for a different tank. I can get them for nearly nothing so i will play around a bit and see how i go. Can always put the pld one back in if it all goes pear shaped.

There are a bunch of us in the US that have done a Starion 2.6 turbo swap. With that, we use an external electric pump with the stock tank without any problem. Mounting the pump close to the tank is the best. We strap to the frame cross member in front of the tank. Use a couple of big radiator clamps, wrapping the pump with some thick rubber to isolate it first.
