On my first Rangie i left it too late and it melted the wireing from the head lights to the tail lights!
I had to hot-wire it just to get home.
The rewireing was not a wery tough job and in the process i was able to get rid of alot of crap i didn't need.
The diagrams are in the back of the Gregories manual, thats all i used.

Not really early rangies need bugger all to run.
Just try to earth switch thnings that run through the dash and
put some relays on the head lights.

If you rewire it won't it run reliably near water? No-one will recognise it as a rangie then...

Good oputunity to do this. Like other have said, send all Lucas shit to the tip with vengence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have pulled a few old Rangies to bits for parts, and from observatuion, it wouldn't be too difficult. Just put more fuses and relays in where the tight arses at Land Rover never did!!!!
