steering damper opinions

hi guys.need a new steering dampner on a gq and will be running 37's and was going to get a t/dog rtc but have heard some bad things about them like there not good for the gq steering box.i have been told that powerdown make a good heavy duty dampner and are good for larger size tyres.would like to here all your opinions.thanx.

the tough dog one has a pissly little dampner, and buggers up real quick.

i have one of the tough dog adjustable ones, pretty happy with it. running 37s too. only had it about 2 months but so long term im not sure how they hold up

I reckon your better off with a normal type heavy duty unit over an RTC one. Having run both, the RTC does work well, but only covers up underlying issues, whereas the "normal" heavy duty unit tends to compliment a well sorted suspension setup.

if you want one that you will be 100% happpy with get a fox. about $100 dearer but it works
