Im looking at a second hand ct26 for my 1hd-t 80 series and just hoping to confirm if the one Im looking at has the same specs as for a 1hd-t.

from the info I can find, the numbers on the housing of the second hand unit Im looking at, make it a Celica turbo from 87-94 model. They seem to have same size turbine and compressor wheels, and bolt patterns are the same, Im just wondering if the housings are any different or if they are 100% inter-changeable between celica and 1hd-t?

would go for a BB garrett but funds are tight  and ct26 is bolt in ;)

If it is the one i think it is, do a completed listings search and you will find that bitch won the bid from her old man a week ago..they didnt suck anyone in thou....if you have no idea what i mean, ok read on...the celica turbo has a smaller turbine than a hdt, it is also ceramic....it will fit and work if you have a std manifold pm me to talk about what you need if you want.

cheers for the heads up! I'll check it out.

the one Im looking at has same bolt pattern and inlet/outlet shape on the turbine as for 1hd-t. the info I have (not sure of accuracy) lists different casting numbers for mr2 and celica.

Just be careful buying a second hand turbo that is "as is" CT26's have a tendancy to crack around the wastegate in the exhaust housing if they have been overheated. To get a good second hand exhaust housing (if you can get one) can cost around $700.00. then a rebuild on top of that, you are looking at around 1100.00 1200.00 if nothing needs to be replaced other than the seals.....

In my opinion, deal with a reputable turbo specialist, or someone you know will replace the turbo if there is an issue with it...
