use Millir and a lincoln one, also another can't remember the name.

Ah, while they will cut 12mm it's really slow going, oxy is much much faster.

We sell CIG at work and we had a customer buy a Cutmaster 38 a few weeks back and we got to have a bit of a play.
It seemed to do the job pretty good although its the first time I have used one so have nothing to compare it to.
As said the single phase machines lack the grunt to cut 12mm well but they will do it.

I have a 40 amp unit from trade tools. its transformer type. bought it whan the inverter ones were a lot dearer.

it cuts well up to 10mm but I am using it less and less as laser cutting is so cheap.

other thing too is the thin angle grinder discs often cut better / straighter for most things. I am not as excited by it now as when I first got it and used it for everything.

We have an ESAB 3phase. I cant say that I've ever tried to cut 12mm with it though.
