have you done any reading/searching on body lifts in this section and the bible at all?

As to where to get it done you could do it yourself with a couple of mates over a weekend. A body lift is failry easy to do even without much mechanical skills

A body lift will take you a good mornings work, price wise I'd say $220 although you would want to allow for some longer brakelines as well.

Pros - Increased clearance for larger tyres
Increased clearance for the sills
Cheap
Cons - Increased centre of gravity, although less then a Suspension lift
Slightly more stress on body mounts
Slightly more stress on steering universals

I'll answer that one ... just cruizin' doesn't to my knowledge run a shop or anything, but from experience he makes high quality, easy to fit, reversible body lift kits that work like a dream.

I'm a mechanical noob but had my Sierra done in about 4 hours, working by myself. That includes beer breaks :D

it is possible if you don't monitor and keep up maintenance

Depends what you drive like and how much load you carry. My kits support most but not all the positions where the chassis supports the body. I use blocks the same size as the original body rubbers. I won't say it can't happen but I will say it's not likely.
