i just put the transfer in my ute after finally sourcing the correct mounting bracket for it. i then tried connecting the driveshaft from the gearbox to the transfer and the 4 bolt holes that join the two didn't line up.

the driveshaft and tailshaft holes are about 52mm centre to centre with 8mm bolts. NT.
all 3 transfer mounts are about 55-56mm centre to centre. also 8mm bolts. which i was told is a 1L.
also have some WT tailshefts which are 60mm centre to centre with 10mm bolts.
checked tailshafts and diff mounts on the donor car and they too are 52mm centre to centre.
does anyone know what the deal is with the transfer.

left one is WT. right is NT.

Mate I think , maybe you can just swap the slip joint end on each shaft to give you 1 litre flanges for the transfer case , if not you will need to swap flanges only , Cheers Paul.

hey paul,
thought about doing that but the 1L slip joint end still doesn't fit the transfer. the holes are just out.
does anyone know if it would be possible to re-drill new holes in the transfer flanges to accept the NT shafts?
also are NT diff centres a straight swap into WT diff centres?
cheers
