Difference between transfer cases?

How do I tell if I have a 1.3L or a late model 1L transfer case?
I have a 1985 Holden Drover. It has a 1.3L engine and is narrow track. It also has a transmission handbrake.
I have read that “If it has the Light switch but the lay shaft doesn’t stick out of the case it is a 1.3 case” is this true?
My idler shaft does stick out, but it looks exactly the same as the photos of Overkill changing the gears in a transfer case (in the 4wd monthly customisers handbook).
Can anybody clear this up I want to be able to run a 6:1, but I need to know if I’ll be able to fit them in my transfer case.

If it is standard you got a 1.3 transfer with the NT flanges.

just in the process of putting everything together so that it's off the road for the shortest time possible.

hate 2 b late, but the safest way 2 check would b to raise the car on a jack, turn the wheel while watching the driveshaft, and count the turnes. this way you are counting the gear ratio. i assume u know the ratios for the cases, so u should know what result means what case.

it now seems that it takes 6 turns on the input shaft to make the outputs turn around once. hmmm i think there may be something wrong with it :D
