does the size of the 35's have much effect on the power loss if any for the 2.8. Im thinking of going bigger from 33's, I have 2" body and 2" spring lift so will that work?

My Mate Just Bought a 2.8 with stock road tyres on there, bought a set of 33's and it really slowed it down, to the point where he no longer has enough power to get up hills in 2nd lowrange. It really stuffed his lowdown... not that there was much to begin with... so 35's would be that much worse.

I have the exact same setup, 2 inch spring, 2 inch body. my 33's already scrub all the time so there's no way 35's are gonna fit without some guard cutting. as for the power issue i'm sure you're already painfully aware of the high ratio of 4lo in the patrols, inctreasing the rolling diameter is going to add to that, but if you've got the coin to make the 35's fit why not get reduction gears? All i've done is keep the 33's so it still tows my boat, and air locked the front, sliders and about to do a rear bar. I hit a bit but no more than my mates with 35's. hope this helps.
