looking at getting a 2.7L petrol lux. any info n them how capable are they with a few mods like 2 inck lift maybe body lift and 33's. also how do they run in gas? fuel consumption?
any advice would be great

Am only going on hearsay but the motors aren't bad.
Fuel consumption is around 12L/100 kms I think which I guess is bearable. Depends on how you drive though.
These models are IFS so offroad performance is pretty awful. But again it depends on how extreme you want to go. 2 inch lift and 33s will help (although on road performance and fuel economy with the bigger than standard tyres will be worse).
If you want a real off road weapon, fit front and rear diff locks, swap in a gear driven transfer case that has super low low range and do a solid axle swap in the front end.

I know fark all about them but I drove a new one yesterday fully loaded and it was a dead set slug.
Today I drove the earlier model (with the little glove box thingy on top of the dash above the normal glovie and it was an absolute weapon, that was fairly empty though.
I'm a plumber, they are work utes, both 2x4.

i bought an ex government 2.7L dual cab about 3 months ago and love it!
Goes well for a 4cyl uses between 10 & 12L per 100kms.
