Im about to extend my rear bump stops on the ute and was wondering what others have done to do this. I was thinking moulding some poly with crush tubes for spacer blocks???

Any pics and details would be great!

Cheers

Coil rear in your ute??

I have to space mine in the wagon, but i was thinking 50mm square steel. Havent had a chance to have a good look at mine yet, but would preffer something solid across the whole length of the bump stop plate as opposed to just a spacer at each end.

Yeh its coil all round.

The only prob with the steel tube is that the rear bump stops are in the arc of the chassis so they have to be moulded round the arc for full support. Definatly not going just each end! Hence why i was thinking solid poly shaved to shape of the arc with crush tubes for the bolt and moulded washes rebated into the poly over the crush tubes. The only thing is its a bit f&*(n around.

Anyone done this?

Are they going in the centre of the coils as drop outs and bump stops or replacing the original bumps?
