They should almost be the same yes
the Front Diff in a GQ is a H233B and the rear is also a H233B, only difference is the Front is a 31 spline diff and the rear is a 33 spline diff.
The centers are almost identical from front to Rear GQ diffs, just a little bigger in the rear for the LSD.

What you have is the old style Front and Rear.
RD28 is the rear from memory.

Looking at ARB price catalogue, February 2006
GQ
Front RD78A
Rear RD24 (coil sprung models) or RD70 (leaf sprung cab chassis)
GU
Front RD78A
Rear RD71 (petrol & 3.0TD manual) or RD24 (other LWB and coil cab) or RD17 (some 2002 onwards
may req)
ARB price catalogue, April 2008
GQ
Front RD136
Rear RD24 (coils) or RD70 (leafs)
GU
Front RD136
Rear RD71 (petrol & 3.0TD manual) or RD24 (other LWB and coil cab) or RD17 (some 2002 onwards
may req)
Confusing, eh
No mention of RD28. Probably in an earlier (or later) catalogue. Did they change the locker or just the codes in the last couple of years? Ask a good ARB dealer about the RD28.There's an RD128 for a Discovery/defender 1993 onwards

Why
theres no clutch packs in the arb's, 80w90 will be fine. they are treated as an open diff.

the lsd oil is used and recomended in airlockers because the bs viton o rings like the lsd oil and will last longer.
