I've got my hands a few litres of lanolin to rust proof my 89 GQ, i've heard people say to mix it with various other things but no one has a definate recipe or they don't know the amounts to use.

I just wanted to know if anyone has used a recipe they found worked and any other recomendations would be great, thanks

I haven't heard of it being mixed as it is great on it's own, just don't spray it on things the night before you hit the beach....sand will stick to it and it is a bugger to get off.

Best giving yoru truck a dose a week before.

Cheers

Depends on how thick the Lanolin is but I'd probably mix it half/half with cavity wax* and spray it inside every panel possible.
As mentioned above it can be very sticky so don't go up the beach straight after application.
Don't spray it on a hot day out in the sun, and don't do it on your driveway without putting something down to catch drips.

After spraying, go for a drive on a dusty dirt road so the lanolin/wax gets a sealing coat over it.
Jas.

*Cavity wax is available from auto paint suppliers and even Supercrap.
5l tin is $30 or so.
