Ok guys please help..

I am trying to remove the windscreen wipers on my 1991 Sierra. I have removed the 10mm nut from the outside of the wiper.. I thought once this is done that the wiper just pulls off, but the bloody thing wont..

Is there any special way of getting these damn things off without ripping a hole in the surrounding tin...?

Thanks in advanced,
CW

Ive tried. I soaked them in lube (not the intimate type :P), tried prying them off, tried tapping them off but the pricks wont budge....

The wipers on my 91 Sierra were a prick too - as Grimbo said, WD40 and a bit of patience is required.

I had to soak them in WD40, then pry, lever, hit, and pull the bloody things off. A big flat blade screwdriver will be your friend. Eventually I got them off with out damaging them.

Good luck!

I just used a twin leg puller to get mine off.

There is a trick to it... They are held on by the nut and a taper similar to a tie rod/ball joint.
Remove the nut and then raise wiper to fully up position.
Push the arm toward and away from the windscreen.
Should break the taper hold and fall off and scratch your paint. :?
