I saw them the other day when i finally went in to buy the winch pack... they were there 2 days earlier, but now all gone.
Im yet to meet anyone who has been dissappointed in any of the aldi stuff.
I know people who bought the motorcycling gear as well then used it for a 2 week trip which rained the whole time, stayed dry.

Yeah a bloke I work with bought some of the ALDI boots, they were made by alpine star, but without the premium... $130 instead of $600 odd...

I bought one of the 5cm self inflating mattresses from Aldi. It was crap. Took it to a Vic High country snow trip and I slid of the thing during the night. It felt like sleeping on a block of ice. I've now bought an Anaconda 10cm mat that has flip stuff on top. Heaps better.

I just bought the impact wrench from Aldi - Seems ok, has a 1 year warranty too, so who cares... $50 is an ok price.

I bought one of their air compressors a couple of years ago, works a treat. I wouldnt use it for a comp rig or anything but its ok for what I do with it, flat tyres & such & the occaisional all four tyre pump up.

I know of someone that got one of there winches for $250.00 cause they couldnt sell them so halfed the price.
Always better to check a few of there stores and see how many of a stock item they have as they allways sell there stuff for half the price if they cant move it.

I've got one, it's come in quite handy, I just leave it in the tool belt when I've been renovating.

So its time for a bit of an education here. We havent got an Aldi up this way, either in Gladstone, Rocky, or anywhere else. Closest that I know of are at Pialba at Hervey Bay, or on the highway at Gympie.
I thought they just sold food, like a Woolies or Coles supermarket. And I was always a bit sus about the quality. Is it just a case of pot luck, and things like bike and 4wd gear comes and goes from different stores. Is it worth stopping in for a quick peek next time I go past one?
