quick leaf spring question...

just got my new efs springs.
before i fit them, ive been told they have a left and right side (because of more weight is normally on the drivers side) is this correct and how to tell which side is which?

i guess if i have a proper look ide figure it out but its raining outside atm an i dont want to get wet goin to the shed lol

Not sure on your vehicle.
but for the hilux with leaf springs.


The rears are not directional, ie can be fitted to both sides.
The fronts are marked NS which is near side, ie passenger side.
and DS for drivers side.

failing that, measure the free spring height camber, and the higher of the 2 springs goes on the drivers side.

The springs may have L and R in the part numbers painted on them. Obviously means left and right. Otherwise, sit them side by side, upside down and the taller will be the drivers side.
