Geeze a trip down memory lane.
That was a true budget build. Paid $300 for it ariginally and as it was at TTC when it came third it owed me a whole $6000
I'll see if Dave can dig up some of the photo's off tghe old sight.

Thats a sweet price for what it was and how far it made it in the TTC. Shows how it is about driver ability and mechanical knowledge rather then how much money you can spend. That would be great if you would be able to get some of the other pics.

did that rig actually run nitrous? (tis what the website said) why? i thought it was mostly for ricers that wanted to drag?

Not to sure but their is no bottles present from what I can see. Maybe Sam had a spare set setup lying around and decided the seirra had ricer protential. Remember that the buisness started as a performance car garage so something like NOS would have been handy.

Yes we did run Nitrous on it for a while when it had an Auto in it.The auto's first gear was too high and lost to much torque so we used the nitrous to compensate. Nitouse worked great but we ended up going back to manual and they have now banned nitrous in the comps.

how was it set up? did ya have to manually hit the nitrous, or was it set up to do it automatically?
