2.7L Hilux Diff Ratios

I'm looking at chucking some 35's on our 2.7L Petrol Lux and i'm trying to work out the best Diff ratios to use to get it as close back to stock gearing as possible. My last lux had 35's and 4.88 diffs and it was perfect, however it had a V6 commo motor and TH700 auto.
i have lined up some centers with lockers cheap off a mate and they are 4.88's but i'm not sure if these will be too low for highway driving. I'm not making a crawler this time , just a strong all terrain rig.

How can i easily work this out? I have no idea what ratios are in it now, it's bog stock!

Mark the tailshaft, then jack one wheel off the ground and rotate it. See how many revolutions of the wheel it takes for one revolution of the tailshaft.

Of course the gearbox/tcase both have to be in neutral..

I get that bit, i was more hoping someone who has fitted 35's to a lux still running this engine can tell me what ratios work the best...

thanks
