hiya all new to here and 4x4 in general but im getting a 78 swb landcruiser opn the weekend problem is that its been rolled so the body aintingood shape but mechanically its great reco engine gbox and transfer case in december lastyear and has had all the suspension bushes done
now its in need of a new body and i was wondering what other bodies would be able to bolt to the chassi legally and without a engineeres hopefully my other option is just toreplace the windscreen out a rollbar in it and get a softtop made up for it as its only the upper panels athat are damaged everything below the doors is fine

anyone know of a 4x4 wreckers in western burbs of melbourne that i could get panels from for one of these or have any other ideas for me to use

cheers

The only body that will fit on a 40 is a 40 .I did hear of someone putting a 45 cab on a swb turning it in to a little ute.
Sounds like you just need a roof and windscreen which is all I would do.
Roofs and w/screens come up for sale every so often. You can put a wanted ad on this site

Soft top in Melbourne  ?? I reckon the novelty would wear off quickly unless you got another car.
