what air cleaner housing to fit to a gq petrol

just looking at what air cleaner assy will fit in my gq 4.2 petrol near the passanger headlight
it has air con and a arb diesel 2nd battery tray
will the gu one fit or is it to big

pretty sure GUJohnno (maybe pics in members thread) fitted one out of a grenade into his GQ, but its diesel.. not sure of difference.
does yours have gas on it?

Try getting one out of a VN to VS commodore. They take the same air cleaner as a EFI GQ and are cheap as chips from the wreckers.

I have fitted a vn air box to my gq top and bottom.
All you need to do i make a alloy plate to cover the old out let were the air flow meter bolted on. beside that on the right cut out a hole the right size for the patrol air flow meter and bolt it on.
i have some pics but cant work out how to post them.[/img]

just jad a look at your impco 425 post i have a battery where your air box is thanks for the idea tho

yeah it does have gas ( dedicated )

I found these photos maybe thay can be of help? This guy has a second battery and still managed to fit a VN commodore air box.
