I get asked for a locker deal almost every day and I just dont sell them. I highly recommend the Air Lockers but wont sell them full stop. Reason being warranty when seals leak and they DO LEAK A LOT. I strongly recommend you buy your lockers from an official named ARB store and suggest also they fit them. That way WHEN they leak there is no doubting whether the fault rests with the reseller, the installer or the mob who made them. It gets VERY ugly when a customer goes to his fitter who leans on the reseller who goes back to ARB and in the end no one wants to accept responsibility for a $500 labour fix and a 50 cent O ring. If an ARB store is $50 more then pay the $50 then it's all good.. I dont think there is such a thing as a good locker deal.

see other air locker thread(s). if an air locker leaks, especially at the o-rings, the installer is responsible. Hobzee, I know you do a lot of great work; why can't you back yourself to install an air locker?

Ok my mind was made up but i changed now and im sticking with it!!!
Im opting for the Lockrite front and rear, atleast they dont blow o-rings or have air lines runnin round that i will somehow manage to rip out i can guarantee that, and i have weighed up the pro's and con's they will suit my application just fine!! And be easier on the old sky rocket!!!

that's funny I had an air locker and never had any o rings blown or air lines ripping out yet had so many dramas with my LA Locker (early detroit) each to their own but you'll hate the steering with a lockrite and boggers. Actually you wont really have any steering

thats the thing,
you rarely hear about the couple of hundred thousand or so airlockers that have been installed correctly and have no problems.
you only hear about the bloke that bought it secondhand and had a mate who thought he knew how to bolt one together, but stuffs it up.then they get on these forums and say they are shit.
when setup correctly by a reputable store they won't leak and they won't have any problems.
hobzee doesn't sell them because he is not an official arb stockist.so arb won't sell to him at a stockist price.he is mostly an ebay salesman, which is a big no no as far as arb are concerned.he sells products on the internet with almost no profit and relies on volume to make his money. and probably does not have the skills or the workers to setup an airlocker correctly.

Mate , if this is a daily driver , you would be crazy not to go with genuine ARB air lockers , it sounds like you have the coin already , you will chew through rear tyres not to mention mechanical wear , broken wheel studs , flogged out suspension joints , use a reputal installer and you should be fine , Cheers Paul.

Cheers paul, its not a daily driver, and i dont get back home real often to go play, and at end of day if i try the lockrites and dont like them i will re-sell them and just go with 2 reco diff centres and ARB both of them, im willing to try the Lockrite out.... and if i do re-sell i wont break even but wont lose much, and im willing to pay the trial price.
They should be getting fitted in roughly 3 wks by Macquarie 4x4 so but i wont be over there till early november i will let yas know how they go
Thanks all for your input, great help, much appreciated you blokes good onya's

Fair enough Hobzee does not stock or fit ARB champ but we are here to help one another out not put people down talkin bout whether he has the skills or workers to do it, thats talkin outta school, and only makes an enemy out of a bloke that could possibly have somethin you need for a bloody good price.
Cheers

So I wonder why the one set up in my old 100 series by ARB HQ leaked.
Are they not reputable?
And from memory they sell a by pass hose to exhaust the oil back into the diff housing. This must tell you something surely.

i was not trying to bag the guy,i don't care about what he does.
i was just answering dumbdunce's question.
hobzee made a claim about airlockers leaking as being the reason he doesn't sell them, but the TRUTH is he can't buy them for a decent price,so he can't hock them cheaply on fleabay and undercut arb stockists.
seems you have a bit of a problem with the TRUTH hobzee?
how about keeping your trap shut about products you clearly don't understand.when we all know your opinion is based purely on income?
or in this case LACK OF!!!
