Tough Dog Coil Spacers for 100 Series

Hi Guys,

I would like to raise my 100 series (solid axle) with Tough Dog Coil Spacers. Those wold raise the vehicle by 30mm and I would fit bigger tyres something like 285/75/16.

I am wondering if anyone had any experience with those spacers. Is there anything I should be aware of before buyng those?

The reason why I chose those is because people told me that 2" lift kit requires additional changes to the steering system etc.

Your opinion much appreciated

Cheers,

Slobo

Hey Slobo
If you can afford it go for the 50mm lift kit as a minimum. Apart from coils and shocks you don't really have to do anything else for a lift of that size.
Some owners do caster bushes as well to correct front diff geometry but this, and adjustable panhard rods, is usually only needed for 75mm lifts and above.
Get the correct rated coils for the weight of accessories front and rear.
Coils around $110 each and if you go for the Foam Cell shocks, they are about $160 each.
Cheers, Paul

I am also worried about car being too high for some shopping centers where 2m height is max. So don't want to lift it too high. Its got the roof racks as well.

Why do you say I should go for 50mm as minimum?

Will the factory shocks be long enough??

You can fit 285/75/16 with out scrubbing on an IFS so a solid axle front end should be fine.

my 105 series with 50mm suspension kit no roof racks and 275 rubber on just fits in under 2.1m car parks so you got no chance if you wanna put on the bigger rubber and 30mm spacers.

You cant have the best of both worlds....

Well you could if you went airbags on all 4 corners that way you can be all PiMP and lower it for those low carparks n stuff
