I understand the 315/75-16 at least is already out there in Aus.
Is anybody running these yet? Thoughts?

Gday Ferrit,
I'm not sure. 315s are the only ones that I know of that are in, which all came from the first batch of sizes, where teh 285/75's I think were meant to be in the 2nd lot.

I think you'd be wanting to wait a few mths before asking.
all the kiddies will say they are the best, quietest, grippiest in all condition tires they ever drove on even if they have only done 5klms from tire shop home....

im going to give BFG a ring tomorrow and find out when the 285/75R16 KM2's are in stock in the country and what kind of price they are going for.
I got quoted $320 each for MTZ's in 285/75R16, and if the KM2's are close to that, i'll hang off and grab a set.

i have been quoted that the 285/75/16 KM2's wont be here until the first quarter of next year, at a price of approx $344 each.
if you want some of the current style it is a 6-8 week wait.
regards
Nathan

The KM2 MT is replacing the old KM MT now that all the sizes are available they will stop producing the old KM MT.

I agree with your sentiment, but obviously they'll be better than the old ones - which IMO were very good for their purpose (don't expect them to keep up with treps or claws or simex in mud for example). Had mates getting spastic km's out of them too...
The only thing i've seen/heard wrong with the BFG's is inconsistency in quality and peformance - different batches from different factories i suppose.

Yes but only for 17 inch rims. All the 15 and 16 inch rims tyres will be available in March 09. All the 17,18 and 20 inch rims tyres are available now.

from patrol forum
Cost was $420 a tyre in bunbury W.A

thats 265's I believe.
They wont sell many at those prices.

Exy
The 315/75-16's I think were $360 or something similar from Windsor in NW Sydney.
I went driving with a fellow that had these on over the weekend. They tyre looked good. I would say MT over bog in terms of void. I cant comment to much on how they went as we didn't do anything that really pushed the tyres hard as my half worn MTRs were still getting through but they did pretty alright. It'll interesting to see over time how they excel as they get pushed more, but they've given no indications from what I've seen so far that there will be any problems.
