Just wondering on what other peoples thought are on, if the only thing on a car that is suzi is the sierra body, and it has a different chassis, driveline and suspension, does this mean it still a Zook?

i think that everyone will have a different opinion on this matter. however i think that if you start off with a suzuki that is at least 90% suzuki, and modify it from there, then it could still be considered a suzuki.

Do we go by scrap metal weight or by number of parts?

There's thousands of parts in a Zook.... you count them all and tell me when I'm over my 10% limit

:D

Im sorta not talking about percentages of pieces that are suzuki, i am talking about taking something a LOT bigger ripping off the shell and somehow making a suzuki body fit onto the donor chassis. I have the oppurtunityof getting a hold of a mercedes benz Unimog (army truck) but cant stand the ugliness of the mog, and would love to see the old spooky face sitting on top of the old mog chassis, with all 45 inches of tyre and mountains of lift. i just think this would be the ultimate suzi. But the question i am asking is, if or when i do it, would it be still classed as a "Spooky".

I gues, thats up to you as an owner whether you call it a Zook or not (eg Aztec).

But why not just revel in the pure ugliness and function over form of the Mog.... it's not like the Sierra body is gonna fit on top of it without about 3 feet of widening anyway.

Why not try to track down a UniMog 411 ... and then shorten a zuk body to fit it .. (yes I did say shorten, 66inch wheelbase with 40inch rubber)

Well the only things left on my zook that are SUZUKI is the body shell and heavily modified chassis.

But it still has a suzuki badge on it, so thats all that counts :)

I love the big ugly military look of the old mogs.... the new ones look too damn similar to the usual Volvo Prime movers.

Yeah my mates got a 1968 mog not sure what chassis no. but is just the long wheel base that he has turned into a dual cab and has big rubber and all the other standard features of a mog.

But have done some looking and am looking at a swb mog and shortening the suzi body done to about 2.3 m which is about .5 m longer than what the original unimog body is, the umimog wheel track will have the wheels about 25 cm out each side so will make up some guards and side steps and will finish it with a cut down tray and put on the 12.5x20 tyres.
