its the inner axel seal that needs replacing, bout the size of a 20c piece not verry expencive. not hard to replace just behind your cv in the axel tube just pop it out with a screwdriver.will have to replace your cv grease too.

get a hub seal kit from
www.onlineautoparts.com.au cost $89.50 plus postage, kit will do BOTH sides of the car and is cheaper than anywhere else. make sure you check/replace your wheel bearings while your at it.
not a hard job to do just messy and time consuming, I am going through it at the moment.
had the same thing as you, oily grease leaking out the knuckle when I checked it out I had about 5mm of play on the kingpin bearings, now that I have them out they are full of gunk and jammed up.
cheers,
Mark.

Here's my rebuild from a while back, not hard but time consuming cleaning everything up.
