hilux rear suspension question

i am wondering what is the best angle for the rear shackles in a hilux?

i have 2 inch lifted springs with the heavy load leaves removed and 2 inch exended shackles but the shackel angle is pretty much straight up and down (giving me the impression i am not getting much travel out of the swing of the shackle)

should the chassie mount of the shackle be closer to the front giving it a more / look?

any pics would be a great help

They should be at about 45 degrees, for max travel and smooth ride

LInk to a thread about shackels and the angle.

As you will see mine a layed well back
I prefer them like this but many do not
The rear end of my hilux had not changed or been touched for about 6 years since setting it all up.

mate if there new springs they will take a while to settle in and then the angle will be fine, so atm i would say let them settle in and then try rewelding if all else fails.

Should be approx. 90 degree to the leaf spring . normally lifted springs have so much camber that they are too up and down.
