G'day guys,
Im attempting to Run an aircon setup for My MQ diesel ( its a deisel setup out of another diesel MQ )
Am stuffed if i can figure out where half the sh1t goes. Has anyone got a deisel with Aircon? and if so would you be able to take a few digital photos of all the conections from the radiator all the way into the cab??
( ive already go a petrol Aircon to look at but is very different so that doesnt help me at all )
Could use these ASAP if possible.
Cheers and thanks in advance

The thing that looks like a radiator ( called a condensor) goes between the radiator and the front grill and yes you'll have to remove the front grill to fit it !!
The weird little "bottle thing" ( called a drier ) bolts to the radiator support panel on the motor side of the panel and on the passengers side of the rig .... the top pipe from the condensor plugs into the bottle.

One pipe runs along the join of the inner guard and outer guard and both pipes pass through the firewall into the cabin area on the passengers side.
I cant remember which pipe setup you have but generally the copper pipe is the one that is bolted to the inner/outer guards join.
Most MQ's had 1 copper pipe and 1 rubber pipe running to the firewall, You cant really go wrong as all the conections will only boltup to the corrosponding pipe.
In the pic you can see in the top right cnr the copper pipe I'm talking about.
The other pipe ( rubber one) that comes from the firewall goes to the pump.

The "plastic box" ( evaporator ) lives between the door pillar and the heater box.
You'll also have to fit the heater control switches (supplied) aswell, ... the switches have micro switches just for the aircon and arent fitted to non aircond vehicles.
Have a fun day !!!

thanks heaps for that kingy, that will be plenty.
Ive already got the condensor in ( dont need to take much off the front )
Just undo the clips and fold down the front plastic grill and then undo the 2 bolts for the bonnet catch and u have easily enough give to fit it in from the side.
That info will be enough to fit it in the engine bay at least.
Me thinks in the inside of the cab can wait a while
I only need it fitted in the engine bay for the V8 anyways.

Yeah its all run in the engine bay after alot of screwing around.
( realised the Diesel piping is all fine that goes through the drier but i cant use the deisel pipes that run to the compressor as im going to run an L28 12 volt compresssor not the 24V diesel one and the pipe ends that mount on the compressor are different
But its all good as the L28 piping to the compressor still all fits into the same deisel fittings for the evaporator and condensor.
all good.
