Hi going to put a new exhaust on my 1hd-ft.
I called beaudesert exhaust they quoted 3 inch mandel bent system for $960. I also called Taipan XP they quoted $1450 for the same system except they use their own muffler (which they make in house). The salesman says they outperform a 'standard' exhaust mainly in torque (around 20 Nm and 6kW he said).
Is anyone using their system or caompared the two?
Is it warth the extra $500??

Go and have a look at the muffler and I bet its a straight through type one which is std fit for a performance diesel exhaust. If it is straight through muffler then laugh at him because straight through is straight through they are all totally non restrictive with some sound absorbing encased around the outer edge. some people dont even put a muffler in line.

Just ditch the muffler and run a single hotdog. It will sound sweet, and just take the edge off it so it doesn't attract too much attention.
