waffle boards

lookking at making some waffle boards but not sure what design to make.
wondering if i should use box or angle and rough lengths people are using etc.

I'm guessing you mean these sort of things
sort of like the maxtrax boards for getting out of bogs etc in sand and mud

We've got things that looks nearly exactly like grimbo's pic at work cept yellow, they are fibreglass reinforced plastic and very very strong. We use them as drain covers in the rifinery bunded areas and they come with a grippy surface on one side. Perhaps with some research you could find them, blackwoods perhaps???

Black plastic keg pallets cut up quite nicely into sand tracks. Or milk crates with each side cut out and laced together, they fold up too.
I read it in a book somewhere.

yeah i am thinking more for winch challenges rather than sand. They get used more as a ramp than a traction aid, although they do act as both

The FRP ones I described might hold the weight of a ful size fourby unsupported in the middle if you are lucky but I doubt it, we use them as ramps for dingo loaders and they are fine.
