Hey fellas,
I'm tossing up between the bt 50, triton and the the colorado TD single cab. Have any of you done any decent off road work recently and how did the Colorado go. Has anyone got one and has there been any problems? Any feed back would be great.

check out the new Isuzu D-Max www.isuzuute.com.au
It is the genuine article, Colorado is a re-badged Chevy, which is a re-badged isuzu!
Essentially they are the same, different styling, options, and price(D-Max RRP is cheaper)

Triton has less power and torque - 118kw/343Nm vs 120kw/360Nm for isuzu, and 115kw / 380 Nm for BT-50

BT-50 (3.0L TD 9.2 L/100km) and Triton (3.2L TD 9.1 L/100km) both have higher fuel consumption than the D-Max/Colorado (3.0 TD 8.4 L/100km)

I have heard that BT-50 / Ford Ranger are prone to chassis cracking.

I have a D-Max dual cab LS-M as a company car, and it does really well off road. plenty of low down torque, and the lsd works really well.
Obviously, as a stock standard, IFS vehicle with a/t tyres its no giant killer, but with some better tyres & a 2" lift it would be an excellent off roader.
On road it is excellent - quiet, smooth, comfortable & easy to drive. All in all a good all round vehicle

hope this helps.
