*lol*... with all the discussions about 250kw 4age engines and skyline turbo engines, i thought I'd ask..

has anyone ever thought of putting a hyabusa or similar motorbike engine in their zook?.. what about a harley davidson? hehe ;-)

that would be a sweet conversion and with the right gearing it would work IMHO

I think there was a Zuk based buggy in the US running a harley engine. From memory it didn't last long

ive seen hayabusa powered smart cars on you tube, i think they call em diablo's. They are little rockets.

it makes sense, putting a light, compact, hi tech, economical, 150hp+ SUZUKI engine in yer zook.

If you find a way let me know,
ill start chopping up my gixxer thousand.

One of the major hurdles is getting a reverse gear.

Just ask the drag bike guys as they used to cut the gearboxes off, so they could use a different type .

Honda Goldwings have reverse, don't the big Suzuki Harley rip offs too?

I'd rather fit a 120hp Suzuki outboard motor to my Zook than a Harley engine..... :D

If you mean the Suzuki Boulevard (spelling...), then no, they do not have reverse gear. but they are a 1.8L V-twin :D
Or at least the earlier model doesn't, maybe the very latest does...

Go really big get a Rocket III engine and super charge it more power and Nm than a Hayabusa and you can get an electronic reverse for em'. I just don't have enough money to get the parts or i'd have built one.

you could just use a starter motor for reverse, Ive seen it done on buggys.

put two engines in =P one for forwards and one for backwards, and if you ever blow one up you got a spare... lol

Could you join two busa motors at the crank and make a 2.6 v8?

thats expensive too, $28000 for a motor!
it is massivly impresive, I wonder what the fuel consumption would be like for that motor?
2.6L spinning at 10000 -11000 RPM

very nice though
