TDK 6 spot replacement calipers

Hey has anyone used the TDK engineering 6 spot front and 4 spot rear calipers on the nissan yet.

Because i have the worst brakes even, I cant lock the front wheel only slightly on the rears. I already have slotted rotors all round and lucas pads to try and stop this thing but it is dangerous.

No it is not the bias valve needs adjust, the factory one is remove and it is replaced with a willwood one.

Can most people lock there brake in Gu utes and wagons. I have never been able to from new.

Yes, I can lock them on my roadies and my pedes but I have replaced all brakes lines with braided lines, slotted rotors on the front with bendix pads.

I think you find the booster is the biggest problem. Maybe contact Cheezy as I vagely recall having a conversation with him about an upgraded booster he was working on. Not sure if he completed development or not.

In the short term, braided lines may help.

If I remember, Darren McRae at ATS in Geelong had a brake kit with calipers and discs on his GU Ute used for testing.. then he went into selling as kits. hideously expensive though for the average punter.

what about fitting gu 4.8 calipers and rotors
but if you want to run 15inch rim that wont work
other wise you could ring jmac diff and gear in sydney because i know
they have upgraded GQ s before

I had the same problem on my GQ until I brought these......
They are amazing pads and get stickier as they get hot.......been racing for years and never seen a better pad...... great mix of braking and wear life.

or one of there others may suit you better......

me boss was running the tdk 6 spot fronts and 4 spot rears and didnt like em he said the locked up all time and it sh!tted him so he sold em
but one of the guys we sponsor has em on and he loves them just says you got to get the upgraded pads for them ,but at $440 a set on top of 6 grand you spent on calipers i dont think its worth it

Sounds like a booster / master cylinder problem.

If the new m/cyl doesn't sort it, I would look at the booster.

hey mate a bit of a shot but flush your fluid with some new DOT 4+ see how that goes before spending oudless and oudless of cash on boosters and m/c and brake upgrades

just my opinion give it a try

The rear bias valve was the problem for the bad brake. I got another one and the brake are better then new now.
