how to get cvs off with out breaking them

hey all i need change my cvs in my 105 series cruiser so i can run genuine FWH's is there anyway i can get them off with out breaking them incase these new ones dont fit and i can put the old ones back in???

get some pipe that the axle will fit inside of.. hold the cv at the top with the axle in the tube, let it drop, should only take a few goes and the cv should seperate from the axle..

of course you should hold the outer tube with yer other hand..

Or hold inner axle with 1 hand with the cv at the bottom.
Hand it at a bit of an angle and hit the cv with a FBH.
Will only take 1 or 2 hits and apart they are.

Most times when you remove a cv from an inner axle you will break the small inner c clip. This is unavoidable and totally pot luck.

Spread a vice a little wider than the axle, sit the cv ontop of the vice axle facing downward, hold the cv and axle, lift up then bash down onto the vice, they should separate easy and you have heaps of control as well as pressure
